Utah's SSDI '1 for 2' Project

Current Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) rules discourage individuals from increasing their work effort. As a result, Social Security Administration is studying how to change the rules so individuals can increase their employment and earnings without losing all their cash benefits. This would allow recipients of SSDI to improve their financial independence.

Utah is one of only four states that have been selected to test new rules. This web site provides a summary of the project, who can participate and project materials. We hope it is useful!
