The Ticket to Work and Self Sufficiency Program ("The Ticket") is for people who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. The Ticket to Work program offers you greater choices in getting the services you need to go to work or to earn more money. The goal of the program is to help Social Security Disability beneficiaries earn enough money so that they will not need Social Security cash benefits.
The Ticket Program is voluntary.
Under the Ticket Program, Social Security Disability beneficiaries can receive employment services, vocational services or other services to help you go to work or to earn more money. These services are provided by Employment Networks (ENs), which are private organizations or government agencies that have agreed to provide employment services to beneficiaries with disabilities.
