On The Job Training (OJT)
On the Job Training is customized training provided by an employer at the employer’s work site. Employers benefit from OJT because the content of the training is determined by the employer, much like an internship. It is real experience at a real job. Employers have the opportunity to train a job seeker with skills they find useful. Employers may be reimbursed up to 50% of the cost for providing the training and supervision related to the individual by a sponsoring program.
