Personality Traits
We all have different personality traits that make each of us unique. Our personalities are a mixture of our interests, needs, values and behaviors. Each personality type has strengths and challenges.
Personalities develop over time. You will continue to develop and expand your personality throughout your life. The goals you set for learning, work and community living will change as your personality develops and you go through life.
Identifying personality types is helpful for grasping that, while people are different, we all have value, special strengths and qualities. Everyone should be treated with care and respect. Knowing your personality type will help you:
- Understand your strengths and challenges;
- Develop relationships and communication skills;
- Select school subjects and courses of study; and
- Select jobs that interest you.
